Scenic landscapes, magnificent mountains and lush lowlands offer the perfect backdrop for a myriad of activities throughout the region. Whether walking inWicklow National Park or strolling along the pier in Dun Laoghaire, the eastern part of the country has plenty of hidden gems to discover. Take the Dart to Howth in north county Dublin for some spectacular cliff walks and breathtaking views, less than an hour from the city. Visit Malahide Castle and Gardens or Ardgillan Castle, both delightful demesnes with woodland, parkland and children’s playgrounds.
